This policy explains how iSmartBiz ("we", "us"), a business based in Massachusetts, USA, handles personal information on our marketing website at ismartbiz.com (the "Site"). The iSmartBiz app at portal.ismartbiz.com is a separate service with its own privacy policy, which covers the data you enter or connect there.

Information we collect

• What you send us. If you email info@ismartbiz.com, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and the contents of your message.
• Automatic technical data. Our web host keeps standard server logs, which can include your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you request and the time of the request. We use them for security and for keeping the Site running.
• Referral tags. Buttons that start a free trial send you to portal.ismartbiz.com. The link can carry a plan name and campaign tags (for example utm_source) so we know which page sent you. The tags contain no personal information.

The Site has no account system or payment page, and does not use advertising or analytics cookies. If we add any of these, we will update this policy first, and we will ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies where the law requires it.

How we use information

• To reply to your emails and questions.
• To keep the Site secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.
• To understand which pages lead people to start a trial, so we can improve the Site.
• To meet legal obligations.

We do not use personal information from the Site to make automated decisions that have legal effects on you.

Sharing

We keep emails for as long as needed to answer you and keep reasonable business records, and then delete them. Server logs are kept by our host for a limited period under its own retention settings.

Your rights

You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email info@ismartbiz.com and we will respond within 45 days. Residents of California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut and some other US states have specific statutory rights, including access, deletion, correction and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. If your browser sends a "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as an opt-out of any sale or sharing of personal information, although we do not sell or share it.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections, to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as the law requires.

Children

The Site is intended for business owners and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, email info@ismartbiz.com and we will delete it.
